How does it work?

The Philips SpeechAir fits seamlessly into your daily workflow. Record your voice from the office or from the road and securely send it off for transcription. You can use the SpeechLive cloud-based service to link with your typist, software and Speech Recognition and receive the complete text file back once transcribed - directly to your device!

Three Professional Microphones

Three professional microphones deliver ultimate sound quality in any recording environment. The 360-degree microphone is ideal for recording dictations and meetings. The directional microphone is best suited for recording in noisy environments. For VoIP telephony, the Philips SpeechAir uses a dedicated microphone for optimal results.

Wear Free Slide Switch

The ergonomic and wear-free slide switch is designed for efficient single-handed operation without the need to look down at the device. It allows for quick and easy dictation handling. A customisable function button above the slide switch provides quick and easy access to the dictation app.

Docking Station

The docking station comes with an anti theftKensingtom Lock system. It automatically transfers your dictations and recordings to your PC and quickly charges the device. The LAN connection allows you to transfer files directly from the docking station without needing to connect to a PC.


Power Saving Feature

The power-saving function allows you to save battery life by setting a time limit as to when the SpeechAir powers down when you are not using it.

WiFi, LAN, USB & Bluetooth

Save time by wirelessly transferring your recordings and dictations to your transcription staff and directly access client or patient data. Use WiFi for VoIP calls and access your emails and calendar on the go. Use Bluetooth to send and receive data or connect to external speakers.


Philips Dictation App

The integrated recorder app comes with professional dictation features such as editing modes, priority settings, EOL flag, enhanced data and dictation list as well as sending options (to a network folder, Philips SpeechLive services or email recipients). The dictation mode enables you to use the device for dictations only. Function keys are irrelevant to dictating and will be disabled to allow you to focus on your core tasks.

Gorilla Glass & Antimicrobial Housing

Gorilla Glass makes the device shock and scratch-resistant. The device is shockproof according to military standard 516.6. The optional case is made from antimicrobial synthetics that work against a wide range of microorganisms to ensure hygienic working.

Integrated Barcode Scanner & Camera

The camera allows you to conveniently capture and attach images to support your dictations. It can also be used as an integrated barcode scanner linking your patient or client data to a recording.
