Enrich your audio with images taken via smartphone during a recording. You can link the images to your timeline and use them as a handy visual index - making it easier for you to search and manage your recordings.

The low-noise microphone boasts a 90 outward orientation, delivering stereo sound recordings with natural ambiance. In addition, the increased size of the openings around the microphone allow for higher quality recordings and playbacks.

Record and playback supports 3 different types of format. The linear PCM format employs a sampling rate of 48 kHz, surpassing even CD-quality audio. MP3 guarantees extreme versatility, and WMA combines high quality with small file sizes.

With the manual recording level, by fine-tuning the recording level to match the volume of the audio source, you can achieve high quality recording that makes the most of the dynamic range.

The latest directional quality control technologies 9Zoom Microphone) narrows the directionality of the microphone and, increasing the recording level enables you to zoom into the sound source you want to record. Unleash the power of proximity recording in noisy environments, or when recording from a distance.

The Noise Cancel function ensures clear playback quality by powerfully reducing unwanted continuous background noise such as busy offices or noisy meeting rooms.

With voice playback you can transcribe your recordings quickly and efficiently. Voice Playback extracts the voice portions and automatically skips the parts without voices.

Enhance and clarify
The Voice Balancer makes smaller voices louder while louder voices remain below a given level, ensuring that playback is clear and consistent. Since the Voice Filter operates simultaneously to eliminate the lower and higher frequency range, voices are even more enhanced.

Let the recorder guide you
Voice Guide lets you operate your recorder without even looking at it. The clearly spoken audible Voice Guidance reads out the menu to you, making your recordings even more convenient.

Optimised settings for optimal results
With Scene Select you can make fail-safe recordings by choosing the scene in which you want to record. Your recorder instantly sets the optimal recording parameters. To make a switch in situations requiring a quick response even easier, the DM-901 has a dedicated button for this purpose.

Smartphone app for even smarter recordings
The Olympus app which supports Remote Control and Visual Index can be used in conjunction with the DM Series devices, and is downloadable free of charge.
